The 2008 Spring Class Schedule is Now Online...

Spring is around the corner, and here at Poquoy Brook we're determined to keep you busy. We're in the process of scheduling classes for April and May. To take a peek at the latest course offerings simply click on the group instruction link below, and select the appropriate month. Find something you like? Click on the class in the event calendar for a full description. Be sure to sign up early, as these classes usually fill quickly. Head Golf Professional Gary Cardoza is a Class A member of the PGA of America. This will be his 13th season instructing golfers of every skill level. Gary got his start as a professional at the Country Club of Halifax learning the business as an Apprentice from PGA Professional Bob Giusti. After graduating from the Golf Professional Training Program in 2002 and attaining his Class A status, Gary served as the Head Golf Professional at Hawthorne Country Club in Dartmouth, MA for 2 seasons before becoming Poquoy Brook's Head professional in 2005. During his career, Gary has had the opportunity to attend many teaching seminars hosted by some of golfs top instructors. Gary brings a real passion for the game to his teaching style and wants to deliver the best possible instruction available to all of his students. His central focus is eliminating tension in the golf swing, creating balance and proper use of the body during the swing, and developing a "golfers mind" for better course management. In addition, Gary is also a certified club fitter and has been recognized as a member of the PGA of America's President's Council on Growth of the Game. John Oteri joined the Poquoy Brook teaching staff in 2004 bringing with him a tremendous amount of teaching experience. John's professional career spans several decades and includes a long tenure as the Head Golf Professional at Thorney Lea Country Club in Brockton, MA. As a Class A member of the PGA of America, John brings a wealth of teaching knowledge and sets a very relaxed, casual learning environment under which every student is made to feel right at home.  Private Lessons are available to fit any-one's schedule. Below you'll find a listing of the private lessons offered by our dedicated staff of teaching professionals. The Season Pass - $1000.00


This is designed for the serious student looking to make a season long committment. The Season Pass consists of 20 1-hour private lessons at a savings of $200.00 off the regular lesson price. The season pass includes instruction in all aspects of the game of golf from full swing and short game, to on course game management. In addition, a full equipment evaluation will take place. Season Pass holders will be given preference on wait list situations in addition to other benefits. Payment in full is required before the first lesson begins. The Mental Golf Profile.

The Mental Golf Profile was developed to help define your golf personality. The information contained in the report will be used to identify your style of play, and its' strengths and weaknesses. Once you register for your report, you will be asked a series of questions. Once you have entered your responses, you will be e-mailed a fully detailed report on your playing personality type. This report can then be brought to your instructor for evaluation, and reccomendations can then be made to improve your performance. You do not have to be a student of Gary Cardoza Jr to participate in this profile, however the $65.00 charge includes a 1/2 hour evaluation lesson. Individual Private (1 Hour) - $60.00 (1/2 Hour) - $45.00

Individual private lessons are designed for any student from beginner to seasoned player looking for instruction on the game, or a specific area of the game. Sessions can be scheduled in half hour or one hour increments. Every individual lesson includes the use of the practice facility during the lesson, any and all training equipment used during the lesson. Each session may also include the use of an enhanced computer swing analysis system, and specific drills.

Individual Series (3 1-Hour Lessons) - $160.00 (6 1-Hour Lessons) - $300.00

Individual lesson series are designed for any student from beginner to seasoned player looking for more in depth instruction on all aspects of the game. Once a series package is purchased the lessons may be broken up in any way to accommodate the student's schedule. Each series package includes everything that an individual package does and a driving range punch card valid for 25 small buckets of range balls at the Poquoy Brook practice facility, or one additional one hour lesson.

Junior Individual ( 1 Hour) - $40.00

Pee Wee Individual ( 1/2 Hour) - $20.00

This lesson is designed for aspiring junior golfers ages 6-9. Each session is one half hour in length, and introduces the young golfer to the basic fundamentals of the game through word cues, and repetition. This is a fun learning environment for youngsters to develop an appreciation for the game of golf and get hooked for life.
 
Pee Wee Series (3 1/2-Hour Lessons) - $50.00

This series is designed for aspiring junior golfers ages 6-9. Each session is a progression of the one before it and is one half hour in length. The young golfer is exposed to the game through the use of word cues and repetition. Basic rules and etiquette are introduced through the use of the USGA's Snoopy Rules of Golf booklets.
